Lush Phoenix Rising Bath Ballisitic

Phoenix Rising Bath Bomb - £3.20

You all probably know that i'm a lush-aholic and can't resist a cheeky purchase even when i'm supposed to be saving! Lush has an amazing range of bath ballistics or bombs which basically you just drop them in the bath and let them fizzle away and leave your water looking and smelling amazing!

I wish i had discovered phoenix at Christmas time because its so warm and wintery but who am i kidding i live in Scotland and its still absolutely baltic so this works well for me! The scent is definitely one for cinnamon lovers so if you're not a fan of cinnamon or spicy scents i would stay clear but personally i absolutely love it. The water is left an insanely bright purple (which my pictures don't do any justice) with sparkly gold glitter, which i was a little worried would leave me looking like something from twilight but no worries it doesn't stick to your skin!
I was probably too excited when the purple coating fizzled away to discover it was green inside, i don't know why this took me by such a shock but clearly i am a child and these things excite me! Like other bath products i have used this one surprisingly doesn't leave a purple ring around your bath when you drain the water away so bonus points for not immediately having to clean your bath and ruin your relaxed vibe haha!

The shea and cocoa butter leave your skin super soft and although unfortunately the scent doesn't linger on you for very long i found my bathroom smelt amazing all day!

Whats your favourite lush product??

Much Love, xx

Valentines Day Will You Be Ours Glossybox

Out of every Glossybox so far this months is without a doubt my favourite for packaging i absolutely love the bow detail and the pink theme of the box. So with it being February this months box has a valentines theme with the cute title of Will You be Ours?  and also included in the box a little valentines present of a heart shaped lolly pop, which i'm assuming is strawberry flavoured, a really nice touch i think!

The little extra Lolly pop gift.

1) Micabella Cosmetics: Mineral Eyeshadow in Deep Secrets
£14.95 for 2.5g
If you are a fan of glossybox on facebook you will already have seen the spoiler that a micabella product was to be included this month! I'm excited to try this eye shadow the colour is a gorgeous deep brown shimmery colour and can be applied with a dry or damp brush depending on the look you want to achieve. The staying power of this eyeshadow is also supposed to be amazing "even the most active day won't smear or shade your colour" I can't wait to try this on my next night out for an intense look!

2) Balance Me Rose Otto Body Cream
£6: 30ml, £18: 200ml
Balance me is a brand i have tried a few samples of thanks to glossybox and always quite like. I'm not a huge fan of body creams but this one seems nice enough it smells exactly as you would expect it to, imagine picking up a  rose scented candle and that's what you've got, i will probably keep this in my bag and use it as a hand cream more than body since my hands have been really dry lately!

3)Mememe Cosmetics Beat The Blues
£5.50 for 12ml
I think everybody will say it and think it so i'm probably stating the obvious but this reminds me of a dupe for Benefits High Beam even when i swatched it it seemed similar. I already own high beam so i think they will be interesting to compare and see if this is a cheaper alternative!

4) Figs & Rouge Lip Balm In Rambling Rose
£3.49 for 8ml
There were four variations of this product up for grabs this month and i will definitely be smelling of rose with another rose scented product in my box. The scent of this is again exactly as you would expect rose to smell but i love that it can be used on not only lips but cuticles, elbows, knees and just any other dry area in general! The packaging of this is my favourite part of it i love the vintage-y feel to the tin.

5) Miners Cosmetics Lip Colour in Cinammon
£3.99 for 4g
A brand i have never heard of but according to glossybox this lip colour is available in 12 shades so i'm not sure how much variation was offered in the boxes this month. Cinammon is a nude colour sort of your lips but better but is extremely shimmery. When swatched it doesn't have the best colour pay off and needs a few coats to see the true colour but seems nice enough, the shimmer puts me off of it a lot though as i'm not a lover of shimmer but it could be nice with the right makeup...

What do you think of this months box??

Glossybox - All Time Favourites

(All the following pictures are taken from the glossybox site as my products are now for the most used up!)

I have been considering making a post like this for a while, if you read my blog you will know i'm a glossybox lover and review their boxes as soon as they arrive on my door every month! I have been a glossybox subscriber since July 2012 and wanted to make a post about what have been my favourite products i have received in my boxes (so far)! So in true glossybox fashion here are my top 5 almost like a dream glossybox!

Deep Cleansing Oil

1- DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
August 2012 Glossybox

I absolutely loved this product it was a shame the sample size was only 30ml i was so gutted when it ran out!
I loved the way this removed every last trace of makeup from my face and i could literally watch my makeup run down the drain. You apply this product to a dry face and then rinse off with water (it is amazing at removing stubborn eye makeup) The full size bottle, 200ml, retails at around £18.50 which for two hundred ml i think is totally worth it, that would last me forever! However i haven't got round to buying the full size because of the endless amount of cleansers i need to use up that are stacked in my bathroom! And also my new love for lush cleansers! But i would completely recommend this! I have combination skin which is prone to breaking out and this did not irritate it at all and was left soft and smooth after use no dry patches or oily residue!

2) Seche Nail Lacque in Simplicity
December 2012 Glossybox

I am so happy i got the chance to try a Seche polish thanks to glossybox! I absolutely love this! I was a little skeptical when i read that one coat would be enough for each nail as i always usually apply 2-3 coats of any polish i own but this really only needs one coat to be opaque and has the best non chip staying power of any nail varnish i have ever tried! There were a few variations in colour offered in the December box but i am glad i received the nude pink colour as it is different to any other i already own ( and i sneakily get away with wearing it to work shh!) This was a generous full size 14ml sample and mine is still going strong i would definitely try some more colours from this brand but they are a little pricey at £9.95 a pop!

Damage reverse™ Instant Restorative Hair Serum
3) Ojon - Instant Restorative Hair Serum
Special Edition Harrods (March 2012) Glossybox
(although i began in July i chose a deal which allowed me to get the march glossybox also which i am so happy about now!)

This is a forgotten gem that i recently found whilst clearing out the many hair products i hoard! I had totally forgotten how much i loved this when i first received it! This is an amazing cure for split ends and if like me you have dry frizzy hair a little of this goes a long way! I love how this instantly calms any frizz and makes my hair so smooth especially on days where i want to wear it straight.

Daily Microfoliant®

4) Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant November 2012 Glossybox

This is by far the best exfoliant i have ever used. I love the powder form it comes in and only half a tea spoon amount is needed to exfoliate your entire face. When mixed with water the powder turns to a paste which is surprisingly gentle and not messy at all. Its the after effects of this i love the most it leaves my skin super soft and glowy and i feel totally refreshed. This is gentle enough to use daily but i use it about twice a week instead to try and stretch out its life haha!
Miniature Lip Cover Rosewood N°4

5) Burberry Miniature Lip Colour in Rosewood March 2012 Glossybox

This is without a doubt my all time favourite product i have ever received from glossybox. Lip products are my favourite makeup items and every time i receive one in a glossybox i get so excited but i didn't expect to love a lipstick as much as i love this. Although i received this in July it is still going strong, surprising for a miniature sample! The browny plum colour is so nice and really compliments my skin tone and i can wear this both in the day time and on nights out, its such a versatile product! Not to mention it's so easy to chuck in a bag or squeeze into a clutch on a night out! The colour is long wearing and leaves my lips moisturised and nourished and i am also a little bit in love with the packaging. I am shamefully most likely going to commit to buying the full size when mine meets the end even though it is a ridiculous £22.50, i love it too much.

So that was my top 5 favourite glossybox products! I feel these could have been different if i had got some of the items i missed out on ( Like the HD brows palette! I'm still a little touchy about missing out on that one!) But i can't complain as i absolutely love all five of the above products, i also feel a couple of others deserve an honorable mention as they just missed out on the top five: Paul Mitchel texturizing sea spray, sleek lipstick in candy cane & Alessandro Pro White.

What are your top 5 glossy picks? Have you tried any of my favourites? Let me know!

Much Love xx
